Members and Friends
Members
Membership of the Club costs $20 per year for adults, and other rates for children and families.
Benefits of membership include:
- Email notifications of upcoming trips and reports of past trips
- Priority booking on all trips
- Lower transport costs on each trip
- Printed bulletin with trip reports and program 3 times a year
- Subsidised Christmas celebration
We expect most people will initially sign up as a Friend, to be regularly notified of upcoming events. When someone wants to become a Member then they should talk to one of the committee on a trip some time, after they have come on at least two trips.
Friends
We contact Friends by email before each trip to let them know where the next tramp is going. If you decide the Wanderers are not for you just let us know and we will stop the emails.
There is no requirement for Friends to eventually to become Members and no charge for this service. We will be happy to see you even if you only occasionally come as a Friend.
After you have come out with us a couple of times you may apply to become a member and get the extra benefits described above.

- Regular notification of upcoming trips
- Links to trip reports and slide shows from past events to give you ideas for your own walks.
- News items of interest to all trampers.
